The Grave

THE GRAVE The first stage of the life in the Hereafter. The first time we will be questioned. The first judgment whether we are punished or blessed. The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ‘The grave is the first of the stages of the Hereafter; whoever is saved from it, whatever comes afterwards will be easier for him, but if he is not saved from it, what comes afterwards will be worse for him. Our departure from this world is imminent. It is but a transitory place, a mere passage to our permanent abode, while the Hereafter is for eternity – beginning with life in the grave. The Prophet ﷺ also said: "The grave is either a garden from the Gardens of Paradise, or a pit from the pits of Hell." [At-Tirmithi] So one preparing for the Hereafter to should prepare for this first stage. In this course, we will study the Three Questions that will be asked in the Grave and who would be able to answer them right. And we will learn about the blessings and punishments of the Grave.
